Sonia has enjoyed being an independent insurance broker/trainer specializing in Medicare Health Insurance for the last 15 years. Her focus has always been on educating and helping his clients and agents through each year with their Medicare Insurance. As overwhelming and complicated as Medicare can initially seem, Sonia helps her clients understand the basics of how Medicare works, what it does and doesn’t cover and what the best options are for their medical and prescription drug needs. She is available all year for questions that may come up as well as each fall during the Medicare open enrollment period to review his clients’ present plans and compare the new plans for the coming year.

Through my years of experience working with seniors from all walks of life, I have learned that living on a restricted income can sometimes overshadow getting the proper health care a person needs. I like to help seniors find a balance between their budget and their health needs by finding hidden ways to save money on health care costs.

I love to stay connected with my members year-round to make sure they are doing well. I also review any changes in their health care needs and help them adjust their Medicare plan accordingly, if necessary. If I cannot leave someone in a better place than how I met them… I won’t change a thing! My goal is to be a helpful resource.

Sonia Ashford has been in the Medicare insurance market since 2005. Sonia is a licensed agent and certified to offer Medicare Advantage plans, Supplements, Part D plans, and Marketplace Plans -individual health insurance for those under 65 from many carriers.

Sonia has worked with thousands of clients and realizes how confusing Medicare can be. She strongly believes that when a client understands how their plan works, it goes a long way to eliminate worry and instills confidence in their plan. She explains information in a clear and easy manner so that the beneficiary can be totally comfortable with Medicare and the plan that they have chosen. Susan’s concern for helping clients is shown every day

Sonia strongly believes that she can best serve her clients by always being available to help them with questions and concerns. Susan believes it is vitally important and no question is too small. She works hard to understand their needs to find the best plan for everyone.

The reason is simple. Medicare is very confusing with the many rules and benefit guidelines. It takes skill to understand and explain Medicare. It takes patience to listen to your concerns and provide real answers. That is why I enjoy selling Medicare insurance.

Each year Sonia undergoes mandatory re-certification through AHIP. She is then certified yearly with each insurance company that he is appointed with. After re-certification by each company, Sonia then gets certified by the product line to sell Medicare Advantage and Supplemental and Part D policies.

To sell Medicare, she has to be in good standing with the Department of Insurance and CMS, provide her own Errors & Emissions insurance, have all licenses and fees up to date, and take yearly refresher courses in Ethics, as well as additional mandatory continuing education courses.
