Medicare In Texas

Medigap and Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare beneficiaries in Texas have several options when it comes to health coverage. They can choose Original Medicare, which is a government-funded program, or they can choose a private health plan approved by Medicare, such as a Medicare Advantage plan.

Medigap

Medigap is private health insurance that can help cover some of the out-of-pocket costs of Original Medicare, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. There are 10 different Medigap plans available, each with its own set of benefits.

Medicare Advantage

Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurance companies and typically include all of the benefits of Original Medicare, plus additional benefits, such as dental, vision, and hearing coverage. Medicare Advantage plans also typically have lower out-of-pocket costs than Original Medicare.
