Tarrant County Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans & Information

Under Medicare Supplemental insurance, each Medicare Supplement insurance plan offers a different level of basic benefits, but each lettered plan must include the same standardized basic benefits regardless of insurance company and location. Medicare Supplement insurance plans do not have to cover vision, dental, long-term care, or hearing aids, but all plans must cover at least a portion of the following basic benefits:

  • Medicare Part A coinsurance costs up to an additional 365 days after Medicare benefits are exhausted

  • Medicare Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayments

  • Medicare Part B coinsurance or copayments

  • First three pints of blood used in a medical procedure

Here is a chart breakdown of Medicare supplement plan coverages:

Plan CCovers all of the same costs as Plan B, plus Medicare Part A hospice care and skilled nursing facility care.
Plan DCovers all of the same costs as Plan C, plus Medicare Part A foreign travel emergency medical benefits.
Plan FCovers all of the same costs as Plan D, plus Medicare Part B excess charges and foreign travel emergency medical benefits.
Plan GCovers all of the same costs as Plan F, except for Medicare Part B excess charges.
Plan KCovers all of the same costs as Plan B, plus Medicare Part B excess charges up to an annual limit.
Plan LCovers all of the same costs as Plan K, plus Medicare Part B foreign travel emergency medical benefits.
Plan MCovers all of the same costs as Plan B, plus Medicare Part B excess charges up to an annual limit and Medicare Part B foreign travel emergency medical benefits.
Plan NCovers all of the same costs as Plan B, plus Medicare Part B excess charges up to an annual limit and Medicare Part B foreign travel emergency medical benefits. However, it does not cover the Medicare Part B copayment for some office visits and some emergency room visits.
