Medicare Part B is a health insurance plan that helps cover doctor visits, outpatient care, and other services not covered by Part A.

Medicare Part B is funded by a premium that you pay each month. You may also have to pay a deductible and coinsurance for some services.

Medicare Part B covers a wide range of services, including:

  • Doctor visits
  • Outpatient care
  • Lab tests
  • X-rays
  • Preventive services
  • Durable medical equipment
  • Some mental health services

Medicare Part B does not cover everything. For example, it does not cover prescription drugs or long-term care.

If you are eligible for Medicare Part B, you can enroll in it when you turn 65 or when you become disabled. You can also enroll in Part B if you have lost your job and your health insurance.

To enroll in Medicare Part B, you can contact the Social Security Administration or visit your local Social Security office. You can also enroll online at www.ssa.gov.

If you need assistance enrolling contact Ashford Insurance at 817-9523153.
